Baron Seaforth was a hereditary British title of nobility , which was awarded once each in the Peerage of Great Britain and the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

For the first time on October 26, 1797, the title Baron Seaforth , of Kintail in the County of Ross , was created in the Peerage of Great Britain for the military and former MP Francis Mackenzie . He was a great-grandson of Kenneth Mackenzie, 4th Earl of Seaforth . As he survived all of his four sons, the title expired on his death on January 11, 1815.

On January 19, 1921, the title Baron Seaforth , of Brahan in Urray in the County of Ross and Cromarty , for the military and politician James Stewart-Mackenzie was recreated in the Peerage of the United Kingdom . This was a grandson of his daughter the Baron's first award. The baron died childless on March 3, 1923, with which the title expired.
