Baron Sysonby , of Wonersh in the County of Surrey , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on June 24, 1935 for the military and courtier Sir Frederick Ponsonby , on the occasion of his retirement from the office of administrator of Windsor Castle . He was a grandson of the 3rd Earl of Bessborough and elder brother of the 1st Baron Ponsonby of Shulbrede .

The title expired on the death of his grandson, the 3rd Baron, on October 23, 2009.
