Baron Thwing
Baron Thwing (also Thweng ) was a hereditary British nobility in the Peerage of England .
The family seat of the barons was Kilton Castle in North Yorkshire .
Award
The title was created on February 22, 1307 for Sir Marmaduke de Thwing from the Thwing family , when King Edward I convened him in the English Parliament by Writ of Summons .
At the death of his younger son, the 4th Baron, on May 28, 1374, the title fell in Abeyance between his sisters Katherine Daubeney and Lucy de Lumley. The Abeyance continues to this day.
