Baron madness
Baron Tollemache (/ ˈtɒlmæʃ /), of Helmingham Hall in the County of Suffolk , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The territorial dedication of the title refers to the barons' family seat, Helmingham Hall at Stowmarket in Suffolk.
Award
The title was created on January 17, 1876 for the former Conservative House of Commons John Tollemache (née John Halliday). He was the grandson of a daughter of Lionel Tollemache, 4th Earl of Dysart, and in 1821 had adopted his great-grandfather's family name and coat of arms.
Today's title holder has been his great-great-grandson Timothy Tollemache as 5th Baron since 1975 .
