Baron Westwood

Baron Westwood , of Gosforth in the County of Northumberland , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on January 29, 1944 for the unionist William Westwood . At that time he was Secretary General of the Ship Constructive and Shipwrights' Association .

Today's title holder has been his grandson William Westwood, 3rd Baron Westwood , since 1991 .

Title heir ( Heir Apparent ) is the older son of the current title holder, Hon. William Westwood (* 1972).
