Jerry Rojas (* 1958 in Colombia ) is a Swiss musician .

Life

Jerry Rojas was born in Colombia in 1958 and grew up in Obersiggenthal . At the age of 12 he was inspired by the Beatles and started playing guitar. He took classical guitar lessons and composed his own songs. In the 1980s, the album The Catcher in the Rye was created with Regi Sager as the singer. In addition to appearances, Jerry Rojas played as a street musician in England.

Rojas trained at the jazz schools in Lucerne ( Christy Doran ), Basel (Bernhard Ley) and at the ACM Zurich (Marc Portmann). Workshops with Robert Fripp , Mike Stern and others helped him to refine his playing technique. Jerry Rojas is a member of the Swiss Musicians Syndicate (SMS).
