Baron Wynford
Baron Wynford , of Wynford Eagle in the County of Dorset , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
The family home of the barons is Wynford House near Dorchester in Dorset.
Award
The title was bestowed on the lawyer and politician Sir William Best on June 5, 1829 , on the occasion of his resignation from the office of Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas .
Today's title holder has been his descendant John Best as the 9th Baron since 2002 .
