Anton Werber

Anton Werber (born November 22, 1840 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † March 9, 1872 ibid) was a German doctor and private lecturer .

Life

Anton Werber was the son of the German doctor and professor Wilhelm Josef Anton Werber . After studying medicine in Freiburg and Würzburg , he completed his habilitation as a private lecturer at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . He was supposed to take over the faculty as his father's successor, but previously died due to his lifelong illness. Anton Werber left a wife and three children.

His textbook on toxicology was very well received by experts and prompted Anton Werber to be appointed associate professor at the suggestion of the faculty. His achievements were in the field of pharmacology and toxicology .
