Baron de Mauley
Baron de Mauley , of Canford in the County of Dorset , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on July 10, 1838 for the Whig politician and Member of the House of Commons, the Hon. William Ponsonby . He was a younger son of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough .
The current title holder has been his great-great-great-grandson since 2002, as the 7th baron.
