Barry Anderson (organist)

Barry Anderson (born before 1966) is a Canadian organist, church musician and choir director.

Hugh Bancroft's student taught at the Daniel McIntyre Collegiate and was an organist at Westminster United Church . From 1966 to 2012 he was organist and choirmaster at Knox United Church in Winnipeg. In 1973 he became the conductor of the Winnipeg Police Service Choir . In 1988 he was honored with the rank of superintendent for his commitment. He continued to work for 29 years as the piano accompanist of the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir and has been director of the Daniel McIntyre Alumni Choir since its founding in 1977 . He had radio appearances with the CBC and performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Pierro Gamba at Carnegie Hall . He recorded the album Love Divine on the Casavant organ of Knox United Church .
