Bart van Rooij (born May 26, 2001 in Escharen ) is a Dutch football player .
He has played for the NEC Nijmegen since he was a youngster and played his first professional football game in 2019. He is also a member of the Dutch national youth team.
Career
society
Bart van Rooij started playing football at SV Estria in his hometown Escharen in the province of Noord-Brabant . At the age of nine he moved to the Voetbal Academie NEC / FC Oss (today Voetbal Academie NEC ), the then joint junior academy of the NEC Nijmegen and FC Oss (today TOP Oss ). After receiving a contract until 2021 in February 2018 at the age of 16, he played for the first time for the professional team a year later in a 4-0 win in the Dutch second division against Almere City FC . Otherwise he was mainly used for the A-youth (U19) in the 2018/19 season.
National team
Bart van Rooij played for the Dutch U18 national team for the first time on September 5, 2018 in a 3-0 defeat in Limoges, France, during a four-nation tournament in France. For this age group he came to a total of four assignments. On September 6, 2019, he played for the first time for the Dutch U19 national team in the 2-2 test match in Fiorenzuola D'Arda against Italy .
