Bartolomeo di Gentile
Bartolomeo di Gentile , also Bartolomeo di Maestro Gentile da Urbino (* around 1465 in Urbino , † around 1534 there) was an Italian painter of the Umbrian school .
Disciple and imitator of Giovanni Santi , Raphael's father . Bartolomeo di Gentile worked as a busy painter mainly in Urbino.
As an artist he was of more regional importance and held on to a somewhat ancient style throughout his life. He mainly painted devotional and church pictures and worked both as a panel painter and as a fresco artist.
