The Federal Working Group for Safety and Health at Work (Basi) e. V. is a non-profit association that has existed since 1962 and is currently a network of 84 institutions. These institutions, which are active in the field of occupational health and safety , work together on a voluntary basis under the umbrella of the Basi . The institutions include federal and state ministries, state institutions and offices, social partners , accident and health insurance carriers , university institutions, professional and professional associations .
The most important task of Basi is network work in the political and action fields of occupational health and safety and related areas. The preparation of the meeting of the specialist scene at the A + A trade fair (named after the traditional origin of occupational safety and health), which takes place every two years in Düsseldorf with the A + A congress, plays an important role in this . A + A is the central joint event for safety and health at work in Germany with a European focus. The conference is prepared and implemented by the Basi . The headquarters of the Basi is in the Rhineland in Sankt Augustin in the building of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
