Basic board

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Basic Board is a private-law stock exchange segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange within the legally defined open market . It obliges the participants to a minimum of transparency and lies between the low requirements of the Quotation Board and the transparency and quality standards of the Scale segment. All three are part of the Frankfurt Open Market .

According to Deutsche Börse AG (DBAG), the Basic Board is "not shown separately as a stock exchange segment, even if the companies on the Basic Board are obliged to publish their financial reports". DBAG therefore does not publish a list of the securities listed on the Basic Board.

history

The Basic Board was created on March 1, 2017 as a catchment segment for the participants in the Entry Standard . At the same time, the Scale subsegment was created, in which Basic Board securities can be included at the request of the issuer and if further admission requirements are met. A new entry in the Scale always includes a listing in the Basic Board. The basic board listing can remain in place if the scale criteria are not met at a later date.

Follow-up obligations

Issuers of the shares listed on the Basic Board must

  • Submit abridged financial statements and an interim management report for the first half of the financial year to DBAG within ten months of the start of the financial year,
  • Submit audited annual financial statements and management report to DBAG within six months of the end of the financial year and
  • inform DBAG promptly about changes to the company master data, about capital measures and about changes regarding the designated sponsor or capital market advisor.

The reports submitted are published on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange website.
