Batata Juwara

Mahamadou Batata S Juwara was Governor (former name: Divisional Commissioner ) of the Gambian North Bank Region (NBR).

Life

Juwara was replaced in May 2006 by Eduwarr Seckan and was employed as State Secretary and Chief of Protocol ( English Protocol officer ) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Gambia) . He held the position of until 2007. Juwara, along with another Foreign Ministry official, including Bai Ousman Secka, was questioned in August 2007 about abuse of office in connection with visa and passport fraud in October 2007 and was suspended from her duties. In March 2008, he was charged on six counts. The proceedings were closed in January 2009.
