Batch operation
Batch operation or batch (English batch "an oven filling during baking", transferred "packets / stacks one behind the other") stands for:
- a production process in process engineering, see batch process
- sequential command processing in programming, see batch processing
- a command line script language that can be executed under DOS, OS / 2 and Windows, see BAT file
- a variant of the at command on UNIX / Linux
- one of the job classes (QBATCH) under OS / 400
