Battle Grounds is a free half-life modification in final status. A beta version is available for Half-Life 2 . The game is set in the American Revolutionary War in the 18th century and depicts skirmishes between royal English redskirts and the American rebels.
particularities
The aim is to collect as many points as possible as a team by holding flag points. Characteristic for this modification is the long reload time of approx. 7.5 seconds after a shot and the resulting close combat character with bayonet and saber. There are basically three classes in the game, which differ in melee and ranged combat skills.
Classes
Loyalist and Minuteman
You have a musket with long range and precision, but poor penetration. The Minuteman can use a slightly weaker bayonet in close combat , the Loyalist has a knife with a short range.
Continental Soldier and Royal Infantry
Her musket is less accurate but more powerful, and a close-up hit in the chest is fatal. In close combat, they have a strong bayonet.
Royal Officer and Continental Officer
You have a pistol with a high rate of fire but poor penetration and accuracy, as well as a saber that is strong in close combat .
