The Battle of Britain Memorial is a monument to the British aircrew involved in the Battle of Britain took part. It is located in the county of Kent on the white cliffs of Dover near Capel-le-Ferne , approx. 500 m from the sea. Seen from the air, the monument has the shape of a three-bladed propeller with a diameter of approximately 80 m. On the propeller hub is the stone statue of a seated pilot created by Harry Gray. To the west of it are the replicas of two fighter planes, a Hawker Hurricane and a Supermarine Spitfire as well as theChristopher Foxley-Norris Memorial Wall , on which the names of all those (almost 3000) who took part in the Battle of Britain are listed.

The Battle of Britain Memorial was initiated by the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust founded for this purpose by former RAF pilot Geoffrey Page and opened on July 9, 1993 by the Queen Mother . A bust of Air Marshal Keith Park was unveiled by the Duchess of Cornwall in 2010 on the 70th anniversary of the start of the air battle .
