Peasantry Neviges

The peasantry Neviges was in the 19th century one of the lowest administrative units in the bergischen mayoralty Hardenberg in the district Elberfeld the administrative district of Dusseldorf within the Prussian Rhine Province .

The peasantry included the outskirts of the church village Neviges that did not belong to other villages or peasant communities of the mayor's office. The municipality encyclopedia for the province of Rhineland lists the towns and places of residence in 1888 in detail: Am Errthum, Recreation, Helsbeck , Hohenbruch , Kempen im Backhaus, Kempem im Bruch, Kleinenkempen, Lohmühle , Lüpkesberg , Motschenbruch , Oben zum Siepen , Pannenschoppen , Steinkuhle, Theimberg , Titschenhof , Untem im Holz , Below zum Siepen and Unterste Lohmühle. At that time, 567 people lived in 43 houses in these places.
