Bauli (Campania)
Bauli was an ancient village in the Phlegraean Fields , about 2 km from Baiae , in what is now Bacoli . Numerous Romans had villas there, including Quintus Hortensius Hortalus . Emperor Nero , who had inherited the villa of Hortensius, had his mother Agrippina murdered and buried there.
