Building stone from Piggsteinsrudlå

The monolith of Piggsteinsrudlå is the hamlet Barstad, in Sokndal , north of Hauge i Dalane, in the south of Fylke Rogaland in Norway . The Iron Age menhir stands near the road on a small hill above a lake.

The 2.3 meter high, 0.57 meter wide and 0.21 meter thick building stone tapers towards the rounded tip. It was removed from its original location, but returned to its original location in 1974.
