Building stone from Ranheim

The needle-like building stone from Ranheim is north of the road E 6, south of the Trondheimfjord , in the outer area of ​​the garden of the farm Vestre Ranheim in Ranheim , a district in the east of the city of Trondheim in the Norwegian Fylke Trøndelag .

The menhir ending in a sharp point is about 3.35 meters high, 20–36 cm wide and 10–15 cm thick. The stone is a little wider in the middle. The number H21 and a cross were carved into the upper part of the building stone , as the stone served as a boundary stone.
