The monolith of Sokn (also called Hesthaug) stands on a small hill overlooking the sea on the 1.3-square-kilometer island Sokn in Stavanger in Fylke Rogaland in Norway . Most of the island is covered with arable land or moors.

The menhir stands outside the garden of the eponymous courtyard Sokn. The building stone from the Iron Age is visible from a distance. The moss-covered stone is about 4.5 meters high, 90 cm wide and 25 cm thick. It tapers towards the tip, which ends in a small point. A few smaller stones can be seen at the base.
