Varaberg building stone

The building stone of Varaberg is south of Åmøyveien in Stavanger in the west of the island Austre Åmøy in Fylke Rogaland in Norway . The menhir is located in front of a private garden on the highest point of a hill. It is surrounded by deciduous trees and bushes and is difficult to see from the road.

The building stone is shaped like an elongated stone slab with a rounded tip. The slightly sloping menhir is about 2.8 m high, 0.8 meters wide and 15 cm thick.
