Construction volume
The term building volume can be used both to describe a structure (enclosed space) and to describe the financial scope of a building project. There are the following relationships:

The construction volume represents all construction work performed domestically, in the context of new buildings, conversions or extensions and repairs that do not increase the value.
In detail this includes:
- all services of the manufacturing sector , including, for example:
- Services of the main construction trade (shell construction)
- Performance of construction-related trade (expansion)
- Assembly construction (e.g. elevator construction, steel and light metal construction, wooden constructions, contributions from the electrical engineering industry)
- Services for outdoor facilities
- Services (e.g. engineering and architectural services )
- Fees (e.g., building permit fees and land transfer fees)
- Investors' own contributions
- Directed work of the public sector
The construction volume is shown with VAT. The construction volume is published regularly (calendar month or calendar year). The calculation is carried out by the German Institute for Economic Research .
Designation of an investment volume
The investment amount that is intended for a specific construction project is usually referred to as the construction volume . The determination is mostly based on the methods specified in DIN 276 .
