Jörg Uwe Sauer
Jörg Uwe Sauer (* 1963 in Wanne-Eickel ) is a German writer and journalist .
Life
Sauer studied German , literature , communication and history .
He became known as an author with his story Uniklinik , in which, in the style of Thomas Bernhard, he targets the spiritual place of the university . The first-person narrator is - initially - the silent observer of an absurd activity - illness, logging , suicide , indirect speech and long sentence constructions are borrowed from Bernhard to caricature the aloofness of the scientific world . Many motifs, names and locations are also borrowed from the universe of the Bernhard works.
