UAB "Bauwerk Boen" is a Lithuanian company and the largest hardwood sawmill in the Baltic States and supplies the parquet and furniture industries. The business activities are sawmill services and the production of parquet . The factories in Lithuania produce around 100,000 m³ of raw material for parquet and furniture production every year. A factory and sawmill ("Dominga NIK") in Kaliningrad ( Russia ) is also under the Lithuanian management. In 2013 the company achieved sales of 314 million litas (91 million euros).
history
In 1998 BOEN acquired the Lithuanian sawmill UAB "Dominga Mill", now a parquet production facility, from the Lithuanian Libra Group . With the merger of the Swiss Bauwerk Parkett AG and the Norwegian parquet manufacturer Boen in June 2013, the group employs around 1,700 people and sells around 9.0 million m² of parquet annually. Bauwerk Boen operates plants in Lithuania, Croatia and Switzerland.
