The Bavariabrücke (also: Lipowsky Bridge ; after the earlier name of Radlkoferstrasse as Lipowskystrasse ) is a four-lane (plus one entrance / exit lane) road bridge in Munich . It is located in the Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district and runs along the Radlkoferstrasse / Theresienhöhe . The bridge crosses the railway line Münchner Südring about six meters lower and was built in 1964. It was probably named after the Bavaria on Theresienhöhe . The client for the construction of the bridge was the city of Munich, maintenance is the responsibility of the state capital's building department. A previous bridge in the same place was built in 1895. There was a concrete structure consisting of a major arc of less than 20 meters width as well as two lateral discharge arcs, each 7.30 m inside diameter .
