The series is about Baxter McNab, the son of famous actor Dennis McNab. Baxter goes to Northern Star School - a school for the next generation of talent where it is always important to outperform your classmates. Baxter does not agree with the thought: He thinks that friends are the most important thing in the world.

Baxter keeps it a secret that he is the son of the famous Dennis McNab. Only his best friend Emma Ruby and teacher Mr. Kingfield know about it. But both respect his secret and don't tell anyone. His other friends are Deven Phillips, who likes breakdancing and ended up in a ballet class , and Jackal Corman, who is in a future filmmaking class, and Jenna Jacovitch, who is in a dance class and in the show My Girlfriend Is an Alien , the Baxter loves starring. The Family Channel commissioned the series Baxter, after which Shaftesbury Films produced it.

Directed by Steve Wright, Michael Mabbott, Paul Fox, Benjamin Weinstein, Laurie Lynd and Moze Mossanen. Daphne Ballon, Scott Oleszkowicz, the brothers Daniel Shehori and Steve Shehori, Matt Schiller and Alex Pugsley worked on the script. Angelo Oddi was responsible for the music.

The series started on Canadian television in June 2010 on Family Channel . The total of 13 episodes ran there until January 2011. The series was shown for the first time from May 20 to June 3, 2013 at KiKa . It was then repeated several times.
