The Bayerische Staatszeitung and the accompanying Bayerische Staatsanzeiger are a regional weekly newspaper published by Bayerische Staatszeitung GmbH.

Creation and conception

It was founded in 1912, the first issue appeared in early January 1913. In 1934 the Bavarian State Newspaper ceased its publication. From 1950 she appeared again. It appears on the basis of a contract between the Free State of Bavaria and the publishers Süddeutscher Verlag and Münchner Zeitungsverlag from 1955. The sold circulation is around 17,000 copies.

The Bayerische Staatszeitung reports on politics, business, local affairs and culture from and in Bavaria. It reflects the political, cultural and economic landscape in the Free State of Bavaria through its own editorial contributions and contributions by external authors. The Bayerische Staatsanzeiger supplement serves as the official gazette for public administration at all levels (official announcements, building tenders, etc.).

The Bayerische Staatszeitung appears on Fridays. The target group are decision-makers at all levels of politics, public administration, educational institutions and business.

With Staatsanzeiger Online Logistik GmbH, Verlag Bayerische Staatszeitung GmbH maintains a subsidiary that offers digital services relating to all aspects of public tendering and awarding . In addition, the Bayerische Staatszeitung GmbH publishes books on a regular basis and has been responsible for the production and distribution of the Bavarian Law and Ordinance Gazette since 2010 .
