Bavarian laser center

The non-profit research company Bayerisches Laserzentrum (blz) in Erlangen is one of the centers of applied laser research in Germany. The areas of activity of the blz include metalworking , plastics processing , system technology , rapid manufacturing , medical technology and automotive .

The aim of the Bavarian Laser Center is to open up new fields of application for the laser beam tool through research, development and knowledge transfer. The Bavarian Laser Center sees itself as a link between basic research and industrial application. As an engineering partner, solutions for industry are developed, and the blz also develops and manufactures application-specific optical systems and components and offers further training.
