The Bayern International - Bavarian Bureau for International Business Relations is a company of the Free State of Bavaria and has to promote the Bavarian exports to the goal.
Programs and projects
The goal of Bayern International, a company of the Free State of Bavaria, is to promote the export of small and medium-sized companies from Bavaria. On behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy , Bayern International supports medium-sized companies from Bavaria in their export activities and works closely with business organizations at home and abroad. In addition, Bayern International supports the location marketing of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs through the investment agency " Invest in Bavaria ". Bayern International was founded in 1995 as part of the “ Future Bavaria Offensive ”. Bayern International's programs include the organization of the Bavarian joint stands at foreign trade fairs as part of the Bavarian trade fair participation program, the organization of industry-focused business trips and delegation trips (with political support) for the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs as well as the implementation of the international training program "Bayern - Fit for Partnership" and support the company database "Key to Bavaria".
- Bavarian trade fair participation program
The Bavarian trade fair participation program offers Bavarian small and medium-sized companies the opportunity to present themselves at foreign trade fairs under the umbrella of the Bavarian joint stand.
The Bavarian joint stands are offered at over 50 foreign trade fairs worldwide every year, for various industries such as environmental technology or mechanical engineering .
The trade fair presence is financially supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and organizationally supported by Bayern International and its partners. In addition to a turnkey stand in a uniform design, the Bavarian exhibitors u. a. a general interpreting service and the possibility to use the Bavarian lounge with communication area.
- Delegation trips
Bayern International organizes the delegation trips abroad with and without political support from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to take part in the trip and use important political contacts for their export business. The participating companies come from different industries.
- Business trips
The industry-focused business trips from Bayern International are organized in cooperation with partners in the target country, such as B. Foreign Chambers of Commerce or Embassies. They help Bavarian companies to quickly explore their target markets with company visits, briefings and business contacts.
- Bavaria - Fit for Partnership
"Bayern - Fit for Partnership" is an international training program which is carried out by Bayern International on behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. As part of these programs, international specialists and managers from abroad are invited to Bavaria on a specific topic. In Bavaria, the participants meet Bavarian companies that offer solutions to various problems and at the same time can present their company to guests from abroad.
- Key to Bavaria
"Key to Bavaria" is the foreign trade database of the Free State of Bavaria with over 32,000 entries from Bavarian companies and organizations. The database provides comprehensive information about Bavarian companies and institutions from research, technology transfer and network management free of charge. 22 industries are listed in the database. A cartographic representation provides important location information. This gives companies a free presentation opportunity. The database is actively marketed worldwide by Bayern International.
- Invest in Bavaria
Invest in Bavaria is the settlement agency of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Bayern International GmbH.
In addition, the Free State of Bavaria maintains over 20 representative offices to support foreign companies interested in Bavaria and Bavarian companies abroad.

- Unit I: This unit brings together the general organization of the company (e.g. human resources and finance)
- Section II: Organization of business delegations (delegation trips) abroad and the "Bavaria - Fit for Partnership" program

- Section IV: Invest in Bavaria
