The Beşkarış dam ( Turkish Beşkarış Barajı ) is located 10 km south-southeast of the district town Altıntaş in the southeastern foothills of Murat Dağı in the Kütahya province .
The Beşkarış dam was built in the years 1993-2009 above the town of Beşkarış on Kokar Çayı , a right tributary of the Porsuk Çayı . It serves to irrigate an area of 9093 ha. The barrier structure is a 52.35 m high earthfill dam . The dam volume is 1,825,000 m³. The reservoir covers an area of 5.12 km² with normal damming. The storage space is 75.7 million m³.
