Rolf Diel

Rolf Diel (born September 20, 1922 in Bochum ; † February 9, 2013 in Düsseldorf ) was a German lawyer and bank manager .

Life

Rolf Diel studied law and political science at the Universities of Bonn and Cologne. After passing the second state examination , he initially worked as a lawyer in Bochum. In 1954 he came to Rhein-Ruhr Bank AG, one of the three regional institutes into which Dresdner Bank was split at the time. On January 1, 1957, the three banks merged to form Dresdner Bank Aktiengesellschaft. Through the co-management of the consortium department in Düsseldorf and the Essen branch, he was promoted to general representative of Dresdner Bank in 1965 and was appointed deputy member of the board just two years later and a full member in 1969. In 1983 he moved to the supervisory board and became its chairman in 1988. He also held supervisory board mandates at Veba AG , Volkswagen AG and Fried. Krupp Hüttenwerke AG .

Rolf Diel died on February 9, 2013 at the age of 90.
