The Beach Point ( English for beach tip ) forms the northeastern tip of Thule Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands . It is characterized by a bare mountain ridge and a narrow beach border made of boulders and pebbles .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations landed here in 1930, did a mapping and descriptive naming.
