List of domestic dogs

The Beagle Harrier is a French dog breed recognized by the FCI ( No. 290, Gr. 6, Sec. 1.2 ) .

Origin and history

In the 19th century, the Harrier and Beagle hunting dogs were crossbred to make a hunting dog that could also be driven from a horse. The result is a hound that fully meets these requirements: medium-sized, fast and strong. Little known outside of France, it is also used on small game but also on red deer and even on wild boars .

description

The Beagle Harrier is a small to medium-sized (up to 50 cm, 25 kg) hunting dog with straight hair, tri-colored, with tan or dark markings. The trunk is short and muscular. The ears are V-shaped, flat, thin and not too long.
