The Beall Reefs are undersea rocky reefs off the Budd coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . They are located about 2 m deep 800 m west of the island of Beall Island in the archipelago of the Windmill Islands .
They were discovered in 1961 by a crew from Wilkes Station . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after the island of the same name, whose namesake is the American meteorologist James McClenahan Beall (1917-2016) of the United States Weather Bureau , who during Operation Windmill (1947-1948) at the Creation of weather forecasts was helpful.
