Beatrix Kutschera

Beatrix Kutschera (born November 6, 1952 in Vienna ) is an Austrian painter.

Life

Kutschera received training from 1967 to 1971 at the Federal Graphical, Teaching and Research Institute in Vienna. In 1971 the working group Atelier No 21 was founded with Johannes Fessl, which existed until 1981. Since then she has worked as a painter and graphic designer. Numerous book illustrations were created in the first years of work . The opening of Gallery No 21 was in 1978 and she was in charge until 1983. Parallel to the advertising graphics , she participated in art markets in Austria and Germany, as well as in collective and solo exhibitions at home and abroad. In 1981 Atelier No 21 was taken over and the painting style changed significantly. In 1986 she bought a summer studio in Gösing am Wagram . Kutschera is a member of the Association of Graphic Designers Austria, the IG Bildende Kunst and the Mödlinger Künstlerbund.

The previously illustrative house facades were replaced in 1981 by loose landscapes. The preferred motifs are the Waldviertel and Weinviertel, Lobau and Marchfeld , as well as Italian and French areas. Some of her works are in the possession of the cultural office of the City of Vienna, the Federal Ministry for Education and Art , the Lower Austrian provincial government and the Federal Chamber of Commerce in Vienna, as well as in private collections.
