Beck-Peccoz

Beck-Peccoz is a family originating from Gressoney , where it has appeared as Peccoz since 1661.

history

In the 18th century some family members came to Bavaria as merchants. On October 17, 1840, the brothers Anton and Carl Peccoz (founders of the Pasinger paper factory) were raised to the nobility by Ludwig I as barons of Beck and on April 16, 1842 the Sardinian recognition of the title of baron took place under the name of Peccoz. The final introduction of the title and name "Freiherr von Beck-Peccoz" in the Kingdom of Bavaria took place in February 1890.

Au Castle has been owned by the family since 1846 and Kühbach Castle since 1862 . Haag Castle was demolished in 1854 by Carl von Beck.
