The Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations is an authority of the European Union . She has been responsible for the registration of European political parties and European political foundations since 2017 .

The establishment of the authority was decided on October 24, 2014. It started work on September 1, 2016. Michael Adam is the director.

The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe was the first party to be added to the register on May 5, 2017 .
