The Disability Law should specifically the rights of people with disabilities protected by law and strengthen. These include requirements for equality as well as regulations in social law , labor law , etc.

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was adopted in 2006.

The relevant legal bases in Germany include:

• Disability Equality Act (BGG)
• SGB ​​IX with regulations for the rehabilitation law and the severely handicapped law

In Austria:

• Federal Disability Act (BBG)

In Switzerland:

• Disability Equality Act (BehiG)
