The single farmstead Behringer Schenke belongs to the district of Behringen in the town of Stadtilm in the Ilm district in Thuringia .

About one kilometer west of the town of Behringen is the Behringer Schenke homestead, which belongs to the district . The construction of the federal highway 71 separated the community and the property. The county road 2 of Stadtilm according Schmerfeld that crosses the highway via a bridge connecting the two districts. South of the homestead, the K 2 crosses the L 1047 from Gräfinau-Angstedt to Arnstadt . This road still fulfills its original function today, connecting the Arnstadt area with the Thuringian Forest . history

In the available literature, no attributable evidence for the first documentary mention could be found. The restaurant was in operation until 1954. A machine rental station then moved into the homestead. From 1964 this was the seat of an improvement cooperative . The civil engineering and road construction company existed in 1991, the building with the restaurant was demolished shortly afterwards.
