The BAO Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program or Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program or SCAP is a project organized in May 1995 by the Beijing Astronomical Observatory and founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences . Its job is to track down near-Earth asteroids (NEAs) and comets .

The project uses a 60/90 cm Schmidt telescope with a 2048 * 2048 CCD camera for observation . The telescope is installed in Xinglong Station , China.
