The Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park ( Chinese 北京石景山游乐园 , Běijīng Shíjǐngshān Yóulèyuán) is in Beijing's district of Shijingshan situated amusement park .
The park is divided into five themed areas: Adventureland, Fantasyland, Eastern Area, Western Area and Dream World. The two largest themed areas Adventureland and Fantasyland cover an area of over 70,000 square meters. In addition to various rides, one of the park's biggest attractions is an amphitheater measuring over 3,500 square meters .
The park made headlines in international media in May 2007 for allegedly using unauthorized Japanese and American cartoon characters . The Japanese television station Fuji Television reported u. a. about copyright infringement, as the park 's castle is very similar to Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle and characters from the park are very similar to trademarked characters such as Shrek , Hello Kitty , Doraemon , and Bugs Bunny . The park denied all allegations. There is no relationship with Disney characters, the characters in the park are based on Grimm's fairy tales .
