The BelAZ-75710 ( Russian БелАЗ-75710 ) is a large dump truck from the Belarusian manufacturer BelAZ . Since it was presented to the public in September 2013, it has been considered the heaviest mass-produced dump truck in the world with a payload of 450 t and a total mass of 810 t.

drive

The dump truck is all-wheel drive (4 × 4) and gets its power from two V16 four-stroke diesel engines of the type DD16V4000 from MTU . Each engine has a displacement of 65 liters and a maximum torque of 9313  Nm at a speed of 1500 rpm. The maximum output of the two engines together amounts to a total of 3,430 kW (4,664 hp) at a speed of 1900 rpm. The engines have turbochargers , intercoolers and direct common rail injection . The cooling water system holds 890 l, the pressure circulation lubrication with wet sump 269 l of oil each. Two generators with a maximum of 1704 kW each generate the electricity for the electric motors . Two 1200 kW electric motors from Siemens , each with a reduction gear, are located in each axis . The two fuel tanks each have a capacity of 2800 l. According to the manufacturer, the specific consumption of a diesel engine is 198 g of fuel per kilowatt hour . The consumption per 100 km is given as 1300 l. When driving empty, the tipper is only driven by one of the two diesel engines in order to save fuel. The maximum speed is 64 km / h empty.

landing gear

When driving empty, 60% of the weight of 360 t rests on the front axle. If the vehicle is loaded, both axles each carry half. Because of the high loads, the front and rear axles have double tires on each side. The eight tubeless tires (59/80 R63) are manufactured by Bridgestone . They have a diameter of over 4 m and weigh approx. 5.3 t each.

The turning circle measures 45 m. Both axles can be steered via a swivel axle steering (turntable steering ). The suspension works hydropneumatically and there are stabilizers on both axles. The brake acts hydraulically on the brake discs on the motor shafts, and the traction motors can also be used to brake electrically. For this purpose, fan-cooled braking resistors are provided.

Body and loading area

When tipping

The dump truck is 20.6 m long, 9.75 m wide and 8.17 m high; The wheelbase is 8 m. The driver's cab above the engine compartment, which is secured against falling objects in accordance with ISO 3471, can be reached via a ladder and stairs at the front of the vehicle. The tipping skip holds 157.5 m³ (heaped up to 269.5 m³) and can be moved from the horizontal into the tipping position in 26 seconds with two hydraulic pistons.

commitment

The dump truck is designed to move large quantities of mining in deep open-cast mines with difficult conditions. It can be used at temperatures from −50 ° C to +50 ° C. The first three dump trucks were delivered to the holding company Sibirskij Delowoj Soyuz , based in Kemerovo , Russia , and are used in the Chernigovets open-cast coal mine near Berjosowski . The first truck reached its place of use in March 2014. BelAZ invested 644 million euros in series production, which started in 2015, in order to expand the production capacities for large dump trucks.

Records

The BelAZ-75710 is longer than the Terex 33-19 "Titan" and thus the longest dump truck in the world. The largest dump trucks from various manufacturers to date can transport a maximum payload of 400 t. This brand is surpassed by the BelAZ-75710, which can transport up to 450 t payload in use. In a test setup in January 2014, the tipper is said to have carried a load of 503.5 t.
