Belgravia is a six-part British - American historical drama based on the work of the same name by Julian Fellowes . It is named after the eponymous district in London named in which the series also plays.

On January 14, 2019 it was announced that ITV had ordered a series of six episodes to Julian Fellowe's novel Belgravia of the same name . Fellowes previously worked with ITV on the series Downton Abbey and was also to write the script for Belgravia . As a director was John Alexander provided while Colin Wratten as a producer alongside the executive producers Gareth Neame , Nigel Marchant and Liz Trubridge should act. Belgravia was created by the production company Carnival Films . The following month, on February 8, 2019, it was reported that US pay-TV broadcaster Epix would be co - producing the series with ITV. The first episode premiered on March 15, 2020 in the UK on ITV 1 and April 12, 2020 in the United States on Epix.
