The Bellmer GmbH in 1842 in Niefern in today's Baden-Württemberg founded by Carl Bellmer. The company is managed by the sixth generation of the founding family and employs around 600 people worldwide. Bellmer has 16 branches, with the products being manufactured in Germany and Finland. There are two different areas in which Bellmer operates. Paper machines are manufactured in the “Paper Technology” division. The second area focuses on "Separation Technology". These machines separate liquids from solids by thickening, dewatering and filtering.

history

In 1842 Carl Bellmer bought a paper mill in Niefern. Twelve paper machines were produced in the first twenty years. Carl Bellmer's two sons, Emil and Karl Bellmer, continued the family business from 1874. A few years later, Karl Bellmer remained the sole owner. In 1890 Bellmer began exporting their machines. The pioneer of the angle press, the TwinningPress, was developed in 1928. Ursula and Ulrich Kollmar continued to run the company from 1957. Bellmer opened a new range of products in 1972 with the first angle press that was used for sludge dewatering.
