Belterra

Belterra is a municipality with 16,318 inhabitants (as of 2010) in the Brazilian state of Pará . It is located in the west of the state on the Rio Tapajós . Belterra is known for Henry Ford's attempts to grow rubber in plantations here . In the village of Belterra, the rubber tappers' huts are still preserved, which are now protected as a cultural heritage .
