The Bemo is a minibus / minibus that is used like a shared taxi . Bemos are considered a typical means of transport in Indonesia , mainly for local transport . Bemos drive on well-known routes. You can be waved to stop at any time to get in. In Indonesia, people wave their hands palm down. To get out, you give the driver a signal at the desired location so that he stops, e.g. B. knock on the window or say kiri , the Indonesian word for left, in the sense of “drive left” (in Indonesia there is left-hand traffic).
