Bendeniz
Bendeniz , bourgeois Deniz Çelik (born July 25, 1973 in Zurich ), is a Turkish pop musician .
life and career
After Deniz Çelik graduated from Erenköy Kız Lisesi grammar school in Turkey , she returned to Switzerland and attended college for two years. For some time she played in the first Turkish women's soccer team, Dostlukspor . During this time Çelik was writing some compositions and considering releasing her songs.
By chance Çelik met a representative of the record company Raks Müzik Yapım and together they produced their first album Bendeniz and released it in 1993. Thanks to the extravagant clip for the song Ya Sen Ya Hiç , this album was a great success with almost a million copies sold. For the soundtrack of the socially critical German film Kanak Attack by Feridun Zaimoğlu (2000; director: Lars Becker) the piece Sana Mı Kaldım was taken from her 1996 album Bendeniz III .
